EXIF is metadata your camera or phone embeds in every photo: the exact GPS coordinates where it was taken, the date and time, your device model, and sometimes editing software. Anyone you send the original file to can read it — including your home address if the photo was taken there.

Does removing EXIF data reduce image quality?
